We are Dr. Abdy Moshrefi and Dr. Nazy Daneshmand, husband and wife, periodontists, partners in practice and in life, and the founders of MD Periodontics in Beverly Hills. Generally, we built this practice in 2002 around a simple idea, that exceptional periodontal and implant care should support your whole body wellness, not just your smile. As a result, more than two decades later, that philosophy still guides every patient, every plan, and every procedure we deliver.
Notably, we are board certified periodontists and implant specialists, both USC trained, who have dedicated our careers to advanced periodontics, ceramic and titanium implants, regenerative therapy, holistic dentistry, and cosmetic gum work. In fact, we approach every case as a team, bringing two specialists, two perspectives, and decades of combined experience to every patient who walks through our doors.

In fact, we were early adopters of holistic and biological dentistry at a time when most specialty practices focused narrowly on procedures alone. The Implant Architect
Dr. Abdy Moshrefi, known to patients as Dr. Abdy, is a board certified periodontist, ceramic implant specialist, and one of the most respected implant surgeons in the Beverly Hills market. Generally, he has personally placed thousands of dental implants over more than two decades of practice, with particular expertise in ceramic zirconia implants, complex full arch reconstruction, and advanced regenerative therapy.
Notably, Dr. Moshrefi served as an Assistant Clinical Professor of Periodontics at the prestigious USC School of Dentistry, where he taught surgical residents from 2002 to 2005. In fact, he has also been an invited lecturer at dental and periodontal symposia throughout the United States, speaking on topics including ceramic implants, soft tissue grafting, and advanced implant techniques.

The Precision Specialist
Dr. Nazanin Daneshmand, known to patients as Dr. D or Dr. Nazy, is a board certified periodontist, USC trained specialist, and the co founder of MD Periodontics. Generally, she brings precision, an artist’s eye, and a deeply holistic philosophy to every case she designs, with particular focus on cosmetic periodontal care, antimicrobial therapy, and the connection between oral health and whole body wellness.
Notably, Dr. Daneshmand has lectured at medical symposia, performed published research in the field of antimicrobial therapy for periodontics, and served as an Assistant Clinical Professor of Periodontics at the USC School of Dentistry. In fact, her clinical interests range from advanced gum disease treatment to aesthetic crown lengthening, gum grafting, and the cosmetic enhancements that give patients meaningful confidence in their smile.

In fact, as a leading holistic dentist in greater Los Angeles, Dr. Daneshmand considers oral health intricately related to overall health. Notably, she has been a longstanding advocate for metal free dentistry, biocompatible materials, microbiome aware care, and the deep connections between hormonal health and periodontal wellness, especially during pregnancy, perimenopause, and menopause. As a result, she has built a particularly strong following among women patients seeking specialist care attuned to their full body wellness.
Giving back to the community
Notably, in 2017 Dr. Daneshmand founded the Los Angeles chapter of Miracle Babies, a non profit organization dedicated to uniting families with their critically ill newborns in the neonatal intensive care unit and reducing NICU admissions through prevention, education, and research. In fact, she brought together a group of philanthropic women to create the Miracle Circle, which has funded NICView cameras for the NICU at Children’s Hospital Los Angeles, mental health programs for NICU families, and transportation services that unite families with their newborns.
