About MD Periodontics

We are Dr. Abdy Moshrefi and Dr. Nazy Daneshmand, husband and wife, periodontists, and partners in practice and in life. We founded MD Periodontics in Beverly Hills in 2002 around a simple idea, that exceptional periodontal and implant care should support your whole-body wellness, not just your smile.

We are board-certified periodontists and implant specialists, both USC trained, who have dedicated our careers to advanced periodontics, ceramic and titanium implants, regenerative therapy, holistic dentistry, and cosmetic gum work. We approach every case as a team, bringing two specialists, two perspectives, and decades of combined experience to every patient who walks through our doors.

Our Philosophy

Whole-Body Wellness Through Specialist Care

We believe your oral health is intricately connected to your overall health. The mouth is the gateway to the body, and chronic inflammation or infection in the mouth can affect cardiovascular health, immune function, hormonal balance, and overall wellness. Every plan we design is built around supporting your full-body wellness, not just treating a dental concern in isolation.

We were early adopters of holistic and biological dentistry, at a time when most specialty practices focused narrowly on procedures alone. We offer metal-free options including ceramic zirconia dental implants, biocompatible materials, microbiome-aware therapies, and toxin-free treatment protocols, because achieving optimal oral health should never come at the expense of your general health.

What Sets Us Apart

What Makes MD Periodontics Different

  • Two specialists, every case. Most practices have one periodontist. Ours has two, both board certified and both USC trained.
  • Metal-free options are genuinely available. Many practices mention ceramic implants. Far fewer actually place them.
  • Advanced technology, applied thoughtfully. 3D cone beam imaging, digital scanning, laser therapy, and platelet-rich fibrin, used where they improve care.
  • A holistic philosophy from day one. Biocompatible materials, microbiome-aware therapy, and care coordinated with your medical team when appropriate.
  • Trusted with difficult cases. Other specialists refer complex and failing implants to us.
  • Rooted in Beverly Hills since 2002. Serving West LA, Culver City, West Hollywood, Santa Monica, and beyond.
